About the run and Hoboken Shelter
WHY WE RACE
The HoBOOken 5K Halloween Run to End Homelessness is The Hoboken Shelter’s biggest fundraising event of the year!
Founded in 2010, it is Hoboken’s one and only costumed race and one of Hoboken’s largest races!
RUN TO END HOMELESSNESS
The Hoboken Shelter transforms lives, sheltering 50 people nightly, serving 530 meals daily, and hosting 1,000 showers weekly for those in need.
Taking a holistic approach to helping people in need, The Hoboken Shelter provides support services such as food, shelter, case management, counseling and job and life skills training to help guests gain employment, achieve independence, and reintegrate into the community.
Last year, we raised more than $65,000 with nearly 1,500 runners dashing through the streets of Hoboken, with hundreds more spectators, friends, and family in attendance.
We are asking for your participation in helping us reach our goal of $70,000 this year!
