Tell us about CKO Kickboxing
CKO Kickboxing was founded by Hoboken born and raised, Joseph Andreula, in 1997 with a mission to make a positive change in the lives of people by giving them a one-hour, total body workout in an environment that is fun and welcoming of all ages, skills, and fitness levels. At CKO Kickboxing, REAL PEOPLE use REAL HEAVY BAGS to get REAL RESULTS.
You’re a sponsor of the HoBOOken 5K, why did you decide to support this race?
Homelessness is a societal issue that deeply affects the very heart of a community. To truly address homelessness, it is our opinion that both the public sector and the private sector should work together to try to combat homelessness so that the dignity and potential of every single human being can be realized.
To increase awareness of the mission of the Hoboken Shelter and to help promote the HoBOOken 5K race, our gym will be conducting an October food drive among our staff and members.
What is your favorite thing about the HoBOOken 5K race?
The HoBOOken 5K race is an attractive, creative, dynamic, fun, and entertaining vehicle for raising funds and for engaging the interests of not only its participants and onlookers but also the entire community.
